Box Trolls (2014)
1. We see 2 directors, 2 producers, 3 main actors, director of photography, visual effects and supervisor, character design and sculptor.
2/3. The font type is white and slightly weird and elongated and with slight chips in it. The text mostly is around the centre of the upper half of the frame.
4. There is interesting art and animation behind the text introducing the style of the film and some of the characters/
5. I like this title sequence because of the style of the art used and also because it looked a bit strange but with beautiful artwork, in a sort of Tim Burton style.
6. It quickly shows the type of era and the type of film it will ben because of the low lighting used and the dark colours. And I also like the mixture of animation and artwork style.
Saint Joan (1957)
1. We see the company name, the title of the show and who wrote the original book, the staring acts, screenplay, photographer, camera operator, art director, editor, technical advisor, casting director, sound, wardrobe, makeup, hairdresser, titles, producer, assistant director, produced and directed by.
2/3. The title font is white with old fashioned text to represent the time period the film is set in, with elongated letters as in the R and the S. The text is always in the centre of the screen and either near the top of by the bottom. Some of the text is bigger than others.
4. There is very simple artwork and animation in this title sequence, the black and white title sequence is full of pattern and movement in space. The swinging black objects are to represent bells ringing in a church bell. The title sequence gives lots of symbolism and clues for what the film is going to be about.
5. I like the simplicity of this title sequence as it think has a sense of the ethereal.
6. I like the animation and art work style they chose to use in this title sequence.
