How To Create Sounds On Garageband

Garageband is a program that allows you to create music with ease. The program comes with several different loops, drum patterns, rhythms, etc, all of different instruments, which allow you to create whatever genre of music you intend to. The loops can also be manipulated, allowing you to specifically create whatever song you desire to make. 

The class was taught the technique of using loops in their piece, which would allow them to create a specific song, designated to their moving image. 

As seen above, the software allows the user to utilise different loops, giving different sounds (on the right hand side), and drag them into the main timeline. The timeline is seen as the skeleton of the song, which the user can then change around at any time. Within the different tracks, many effects may be used to manipulate the sound, for example, panning, volume, automating the volume, etc. 

Garageband is a very simple, easy program to work with, which will help users in making a very good sound, going against the video for their project.

Other films Universal he produced and distributed are Kick ass 1 and kick ass 2, Pitch perfect and American reunion and also scott pilgrim vs the world.

We choose Universal as they have produced very successful Teen Films such as kick ass 1 and 2 , pitch perfect and American reunion. They have given us a fair amount of money which will allow us to create the best quality film possible. The history behind universal is also a great factor.

Kidulthood

Kidulthood is a youth drama with a sub genre of crime.

 The title credits are very shorts because it isnt a mainstream movie so it had little investment.

 The title sequence is all a moving imagine as it is based in the school playground where characters are being introduced whilst they interact with each other and say each others names.

This movie isnt mainstream and it independent as a big company such as Universal are not funding or producing it.

 The story line is introduced with a student handing out flyers to fellow students about a house party he is having whilst his parents are away. Within the introduction it is made clear that Trevor and Alisa use to date but had split up, Soon after we see a vulnerable girl called Claire introduced to us as she is getting bullied by another student for apparently being a virgin who is weird.

It is quite evident that the social group the characters are from is low income households.

The teens interaction with adults is very minimal in this movie which is evident with Claire because she does not tell her parents what is going on at school which leads to her having to take her own life.

My favorite film because of the memories it brings back for me because when I was little My mum got me the movie on tape and I was so excited and I watched it over and over and over again because it for me was an entertaining film and it made me happy.

 Shrek was the biggest name to be shown in the title sequence,

Then voice overs are being presented by their real name. 

I myself enjoy the title sequence because it is simplistic and their narrator is Shrek himself to explain what is going on so it is clear to the audience. Shrek explains the plot of the film so I could go into the film knowing what was going on clearly.Simple colours that are being used are good because they are warm and loving and soothing and as a kid it made me feel great, these colours are brown, dark orange and blue. 

The illustration are being  presented in a book whilst it flips pages but gives audience enough time to read it properly. 

After this the pace starts to pick up whilst up tempo music is being played then the credits come into play.

What is a title sequence?

in conclusion the title sequence is a major part of the film because not only does it inform the audience of what is to come but it sets the over all mood of the film and puts the audience into that mind frame.

It is also a breath of fresh air as the title sequence is the start of the film all your real life problems are left after the curtains draw open. Title sequences are also vital to let the audience who is involved in the film weather it is actors or the production company and their employees.

16 posts at health check 1.  Well done Emily - this is looking really great so far.  Lots of detail in the posts and you have used 'visual methods' really well to present your work (bits of ICT).  As we move into the next phase of the production work make sure that you keep up to date with the blogs (as there are one or two missing - number 8 and number 14 for instance).  Set aside some time each week to blog 2-3 times during the week.  You'll find that the planning stages of the blogging checklist are quite prescriptive but it's more free when you get to the construction stages and so it would be good to see you blogging off the task sheet more at this point (making up your own overview posts of the filming and editing each session, for instance).  But generally really great work - well done.
